Happy Sunday! Enjoy a day of rest and think about something for which you are truly grateful.

I am not very good at talking about my faith. But I am extremely grateful for it. I am blessed beyond belief in this wonderful life and thank God everyday for the wonderful gifts He has given me.

When I feel like I have lost my way, it is a comfort to know that someone else is guiding me along.

"In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."
                                                                                                           -Proverbs 3:6

Happy Easter everyone!

For what are you grateful for today?

I'm excited to cross the first of my 101 in 1001 list off with windy New Mexico!
You thought I was going to say sunny didn't you? Not quite. When we drove through New Mexico to Santa Fe for Casey and Kelly's wedding I was expecting warmth. It was freezing and windy but the views were breathtaking.
Being an East coast girl who went to school in the Midwest, the Southwest was odd to me. I definitely felt like I was far away from all things familiar. But I think that is the point of visiting somewhere new. The town was very relaxed and people seemed to be enjoying it.
I love me some chips and salsa but I'm not sure if I'll be returning to New Mexico any time soon. I felt a bit like there wasn't much to do. The state itself is vast so I know I'm wrong. Next time I go, I'll have to get suggestions. I much prefer hiking to looking around gallery shops. There were two things that I LOVED though. Scroll down to see my recommendations!

The highlight of New Mexico was a delicious chocolate shop. Oh my goodness. At Kakawa Chocolate House, hot chocolate is actually chocolate that is heated and put in your cup. I got the most delicious tiny cup of half Chili hot chocolate (with a bit of a kick!) and half American (to sweeten it up). It was so delicious. Honestly, if you are in Santa Fe and you don't go to this delicious house of chocolate you are a crazy person. It's that good.

My other recommendation is the delicious New Mexican food at Mucho Gusto restaurant. So freaking good. And yes, I do realize that I'm only giving you edible recommendations but that's just how I roll. They weren't too expensive and it was really good quality. I had chips and green and red salsas and a giant bowl of chicken tortilla soup (because I was frozen!). Yum all the way. I felt like I was experiencing local New Mexico rather than a tourist trap. I loved it.

See you later New Mexico!

HAPPY FRIDAY! If you worked with me it would be Taco Friday. TGITF. Yessssss.

This weekend I'm heading to Florida but last weekend I was in Santa Fe for our friends' wedding. Casey and Kelly were so happy and in love. It honestly made the freezing Santa Fe temperatures seem warmer.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of the beautiful city and wedding!

The wedding was held at the Gerald Peter's Gallery. It was a really unique setting and was very pretty.

The programs were attached to the back of these bicycle prints... which the bride MADE BY HERSELF. She's one talented DIY lady.

You can see Kelly's sister crying here. I was also weeping in my chair during their handwritten vows.

Josh and I found our table - named after their street from William & Mary - by locating our very own apple / place card. Under the apples were handwritten notes Casey and Kelly had kept from their 5 years of dating.

We each got to take home some Santa Fe spices to use at home. Can't wait to try this rub.

I know I know... we're not really in the mountains. :)

Is it wrong that all I'm thinking right now is, "Tacos. Tacos. Tacos. Tacos." And it's 7:30am. Ew. But awesome.

There are sometimes when I feel like I love this blog. I feel like it's helping me synthesize my feelings and remember awesome events and be a better person by sharing my mistakes with others so they can avoid making them.

There are other times that the doubts creep in and I think to myself, "Maureen, what are you doing? No one wants to read what you have to write you crazy girl!"

But then I tell myself to stop thinking like that because this is just too much fun. I love hearing from all of you and I love writing for myself too.

I am constantly thinking random things. Do you ever feel like that? Like there are just a thousand things floating around in your head and you can't even see them all in your brain because there are too many in there?

Here are some things I'm currently thinking, in no particular order, just to give you an idea...

I really love Elevation Burger. Had dinner there last night. So freakin yummy.

I am really tired of traveling but I'm really excited to see my little sister this weekend.

I am in desperate need of a workout plan. And motivation to work out. I'm thinking of doing Tina's Best Body Bootcamp starting April 1st. I need to get my butt in gear.

I am desperately pale right now. I've been thinking of using self-tanner on my legs. But I'm worried that then I'll look orange. Also, how silly is it that we do all this crazy stuff to look what we think is 'good' right now. In a thousand years people will laugh at us painting our bodies tan.

There is nothing I love more than being in pajamas. Nothing. I love it so much. If you ever see me and I'm not in pajamas, I am thinking that I want to be in pajamas.

I work in an office with no windows. Is there a way to fabricate sunlight? I could really use a window. Most days at the office I dream about working from my kitchen table soaking in the sunlight.

Do you ever think about what you would do if you had millions of dollars? I often wonder what I would do if I didn't have to make any money or support myself. I would probably travel, sleep, do yoga, blog, lay around, be in pajamas, and then what? I think I would like teaching. I think I would like being a mentor or a counselor or a yoga instructor. I think I would like writing or observing people and telling their stories. Ghost writing. Done! Do you need your life story told? I'm your gal.

I still watch Survivor. I love it. It's so good. This season is fans v. favorites in case you were missing any of the old crew. They are back and better than ever. Any other Survivor fans?

Why is it so hard to do laundry? It's easy to put it in and then I just become uninterested. My laundry is all clean. It is also all sitting on my bed. Unfolded. In a pile. I just want to jump on it.

What's in your brain today?

I've been watching a lot of Girls lately and it's been hilarious and so awkward. It's like I can't stop watching it. I will say it's smart and funny and Lena Dunham is very acerbic in an unassuming way. But I can't help feeling extremely awkward when I'm watching it.

I will say that it has taught me a few things.

Be around positive people.
Shoshanna: I can't be surrounded by your negativity while I'm trying to grow into a fully formed woman. You hate everything!

You said it Shosh! If there is one thing I have learned in my short 27 years, it's that I feel better when I am around happy, optimistic people. Now that's not to say that when your friend is having a hard time, you shouldn't be there for her. You should. But if someone is constantly being mean to you or being constantly negative around you, well then, maybe it's time to take some distance.

The flip side of this is that I also try to be a positive person myself. It's important to lift up others and yourself. It can be hard and I'm not perfect at it. Well, maybe I'm not even good at it, but I'm working on it. And that's optimistic right? :)

Be open and positive and be around people who are open and positive. And for goodness sake, don't hate everything!

Be honest with yourself.
Hannah: Please don't tell anyone this, but I wanna be happy.

It is extremely important to know what you want. It is also extremely important to let yourself admit if you don't know what you want. Just be honest with yourself.

Also, I think it's Brave to admit what you want even if you are scared you won't get it. I want to be happy too. I'm less scared to admit it... I want it terribly. But I am afraid of failing. Of not being happy. And that's ok. It's a normal thing to be scared about. But that doesn't mean it won't happen. And that's the truth!

Let go of negative relationships.
Hannah: There are certain people who are meant to remain in your past. I made a mistake trying to repurpose you.

Ok. I am just going to say this. When you break up with someone, break up with him. Unless he is the one. And then get back together. Obviously.

Live in the moment.
Hannah: It's a Wednesday night baby and I'm alive!

This one is my favorite. Live in the moment. Eat cake. Make mistakes. Solve problems. Enjoy it all. Live it all. We only get one life and it's beautiful. Don't miss a moment.

Tonight will be Wednesday night... are you alive? YEAH!

Thank you all for your patience as I jet set around to weddings this month. It's been a blast but yesterday I was completely on my butt. I slept from 8am until 4pm. And then I watched roughly 6 hours of Girls and Downton Abbey. That's what I get for pushing myself too hard. :)

I still had some pictures from Allison's wedding that I wanted to share with you. I am dreaming of that warm Charleston weather right now!

HAHAHAHA I COULDN'T RESIST! Mich and I look so sad in the sun haha.

So there you have it!

Do you have any questions about the wedding? Hair? Make-up? Dresses? Anything else? Let me know and I'll be sure to answer!
