It's Friday. And we have a long weekend. Yes. Yes, one million times.

I am smitten with these initial necklaces from Fifth & Mae. I'm getting a little 'm' for myself as an early birthday present. Thanks to Rosa for posting about them and getting me hooked!

I'm very much looking forward to spending some time with this guy.

We are moving Grandpa into his new apartment this weekend. He will no longer have to be at the physical therapy rehab center for his broken leg. He is a TROOPER and is walking again. Before I start crying (I get so emoshi about this and how proud of him I am), I'm also helping to make his apartment a home by designing him a gallery wall for his living room. I spent two and half hours last night going through pictures from the past 3-4 years and picking the best ones of our family. I'm hanging everything tonight with Mom and I'm so excited! I'll let you know how it turns out. He is such a cutie!

I can't figure out google +. Someone please tell me I'm normal. I am going to dedicate a few hours of this long weekend to updating my profile and adding all of your beautiful faces to my circles. If you have any tips let me know! And leave me a message or connect with me on google + here. I have never understood my grandpa's pain with technology fully until now. :)

Last night after work I was supposed to go to a yoga class, unpack my suitcase from last weekend, clean my room, do some laundry, upload pictures, read my book, cook a healthy dinner and go to bed early.

Yesterday was crazy at work. I couldn't breathe it was so crazy.

So instead, I stopped and picked up a bottle of red and a frozen pizza on my way home, ate the pizza, drank the wine, sat around on the couch with my room mate, and went to be at 9:45.

What? I went to bed early... that's something right? ;)

Look at that happy couple! And what a first kiss! :)

Josh and I spent last weekend celebrating the wedding of my friends Kate and Matt. Kate was in Alpha Phi with me and as she and Matt have been together since our sophomore year, he's practically family too.

The weekend was jam-packed with seeing friends from college, giggling about the past, dancing our faces off, and hugging. I'm a girl, what can I say?

The wedding ceremony took place on campus at the Sheil Catholic Center. This is where I went to church (with Kate and Matt) during school, so it was very surreal to be back there. I felt almost like I had stepped into the past at the same time that my friends were moving into the future.

Kate was a STUNNING bride - classic and elegant as she always is. Her moms beamed with pride as they walked her down the aisle. This is where I started crying. Let's just say that by communion I was a weeping mess!

The handsome groom with the priest.
Matt is one of the most open-hearted and kind men. I am so thrilled that he will love our dear Kate forever!

After the ceremony, the happy couple took pictures and Josh and I frolicked around Northwestern.
(This really means that I dragged Josh alllllll over campus telling stories and tearing up and missing college like crazy. He is a patient man.)

Deering Library is my favorite spot on campus. FAVORITE.
It's NU's historic library and they have all the music in there now. I used to spend hours in there copying sheet music. I'm nerdy and I own it.

This is the rock. Ah the rock. It's an NU tradition to paint it for a special event or advertisement. You have to guard it though, otherwise anyone can paint over it.
Kate and Matt FOREVER!

The reception was at the Union League Club of Chicago. It was gorgeous and the most fun. Kate and Matt kept extending the DJ and the bar... I may or may not have danced until 1:30am. That's when this happened. It was glorious.

Phi love.

Phis plus our man Matt!

And there's my man. I just love him.

Thank you to Kate and Matt for including me in their beautiful wedding.
Commence me crying that I don't live in Chi with all of my friends.

*Thank you to Allison for letting me wear her dress!!!!!!

This weekend I fly to Chicago to celebrate the wedding of my friends Kate and Matt!

The happy couple has been dating since undergrad and I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am to celebrate their love. The wedding is at Northwestern this weekend, and you can bet when we descend upon campus there will be frivolity for all!

I met Kate (and through her Matt) in my sorority, Alpha Phi. I had such a wonderful experience in A Phi and met some of my best friends in the world there. We lived in our house on campus, at many bagels at 2am, studied a lot, watched Dawson's Creek, had random dance parties, and just loved being together.

Each year we try to meet up with all of us (or close to it) at least once so we can pretend to be 18 again.
Just kidding. I actually like 27 way better. ;)

This weekend I expect to laugh and to cry and to cry from laughing.

Here are some of my favorite Phi moments in the past year or two.

And don't worry, I already warned the girls, my camera battery is charged!

Yes girls, two is better than one. :)

The last Phi wedding!!!!

So beautiful and so fun.

Alex, did we ever figure out what Jagger's moves were actually like?

And double yes, I plan to recreate this picture this weekend with the groom and two of his bridesmaids!

I am THRILLED to announce the official launch of 22nd Street Imaging. This has been a labor of love for Josh and I am so proud of him for creating such beautiful work and for building a beautiful website to showcase it.

A talented photographer and videographer, he specializes in headshots, engagement portraits, and wedding videos, but he can do so much more.

My favorite thing about his new business is his vision. In Josh's words, "I wanted a place where people could go to have their unique adventure told. It was born out of a desire for you to be able to tell YOUR story the way that you want it to be told."

Capture your unique adventure - I love it!

No story is the same. Each face has a thousand memories and stories and lessons learned. I feel like you can see who people really are in his shots, and in the videos, you almost feel like you are at the event. It's magical really.

I am so proud and so excited to see all of the wonderful work that Josh will do with 22nd Street Imaging. If you need pictures or videos of your unique adventure, I urge you to get in touch with Josh. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. :)

As part of my 101 in 1001, I made a goal to sponsor some other wonderful blogs both to support their authors and help them grow, but also to teach me about posting and expose me to other readers. I want to grow too, of course. :)
amanda / nicole / sarah
This relationship of learning from and supporting others is one that still astounds me in the blog world. How wonderful that I can be exposed to three women this amazing. I love reading about their lives, their struggles, their faith, and their families. And while I don't know them in person, I feel honored to be a sponsor on the side of their stories and to tell the world that I love what they write.

Trying to explain blogging relationships to those who don't blog can be a little tricky. It doesn't make intuitive sense that one would want to open up to a stranger or support an acquaintance's work. But in my mind, these women are more than just tertiary friends. How? Through their blogs.

I blog because it is fun and it helps me be present in my life and remember all of the wonderful things for which I am grateful. But I also blog because I love being able to connect to people halfway across the world. Sometimes in life you become friends with someone because you take the same yoga class or go to the same school or work in the same city.

Sometimes you become friends with someone because you feel connected to their words, thoughts, and ideas.

That's how it is in the blog world for me. I look forward to continuing to sponsor wonderful woman who I admire. I hope you all visit their blogs to learn just as much from them as I do. :)

101 in 1001 #27. Sponsor at least three other blogs to grow readership

My friends Maggie and Elijah got married last weekend at the Mount Vernon Inn
This picture above is my favorite - Look at the joy on their faces!
I can't remember which moment had just happened... the best man dropping the ring, a joke about Elijah being hard to love (made by his dad who married them) or some other moment of love between the couple.

I know they spent a lot of time and effort planning their gorgeous wedding, but this picture reminds me about what the wedding is for: joining two people in love to share their life.

Kinda cool when you think about it that way. :)
